EXPERIENCES

Experiences

The possibilities are endless...Below are some of the places I've been and can help you see as well.  No matter what your level of adventure or desired relaxation goal, I've got you covered.

ITALY

ROME

Great for history buffs and art admirers. The Vatican will humble any guest, and it's interesting to hear all the battle stories that took place in the Colosseum. My favorite historical landmark is the Pantheon with a preservation that's incredible.

VENICE

What's more romantic than a gondola ride down one of the venetian canals. Enjoy getting lost in this enchanting city. I would definitely recommend an evening tour of St. Mark's Basilica.

FLORENCE

The capital of the Tuscany region has a lot to offer more than a big, beautiful dome.  Make sure you check out Michelangelo's masterpiece The David. This is also a great starting point to many Tuscany wine tours.

TUSCANY

One of my favorite places on the planet.  There are so many medieval hilltop towns to explore, the food is amazing, and the wine is incredible. I would definitely rent a car to experience everything this region has to offer.

AMALFI COAST

The scenery along this coastline is amazing.  There are 13 towns, with each offering something a little different. One of the best hiking trails (Path of the Gods) is located above these towns offering incredible views.

CINQUE TERRE

Five seaside villages along a rugged Italian coastline provides plenty of hiking opportunities. Each town has beautiful views of the Ligurian Sea, with one having beach access. If hiking isn't your thing, there's a train that will take you to all five villages.

LAKE COMO

A beautiful shimmering blue lake surrounded by mountains and picturesque villages. The lake offers a variety of water-related activities such as boating, sailing, kayaking, and swimming.

MILAN

A popular fashion Mecca offering high-end shopping opportunities at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Check out the Milan Cathedral and make sure to schedule a tour of the Santa Maria delle Grazie to view The Last Supper masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci.

CAPRI

Be ready to try some Limoncello and enjoy a boat ride around this beautiful island.  If you get the opportunity, visit the Blue Grotto cave. This island is the picture of paradise.

FRANCE

PARIS

Take a cruise down the Seine River and scale the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe. That's just the beginning when experiencing this magical city. There are so many options when deciding on your itinerary.

LOIRE VALLEY

This region south of Paris is home to some of the most breathtaking castles. Best known for its wine and food, I would also recommend a tour of the grandest castle of all, Chateau de Chambord.

THE LOUVRE

I know, I know...the Louvre is in Paris, but this was definitely one of my favorite places to visit while in the city. It would take weeks to truly enjoy everything inside this historical monument.

SWITZERLAND

BERNESE OBERLAND

I can't say enough about the jaw dropping beauty of this area in Switzerland. There are magically views on every hiking trail, and if winter is more your thing, a skier's paradise.

JUNGFRAU

This peak is famous for being the highest accessible point in Europe and home to its highest railway station. I visited in the summer and it was amazing to start the journey with warm temperatures and end with snow. Check out the gallery to see some incredible photos.

ZURICH

This is the largest city in Switzerland and travel hub for many trains going across Europe.  It's a very walkable city and has a gorgeous waterfront location. Enjoy historic Old Town, sophisticated shopping, and artsy neighborhoods.

AUSTRIA

VIENNA

The capital of Austria really surprised me.  I'm not necessarily a 'city' person, but I really enjoyed the architecture and historical significance of this city. Lying along the Danube River, it's home to imperial Palaces such as Schönbrunn, and the Habsburgs' summer residence. It's also known for historical greats such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud.

SALZBURG

The hills are alive with the sound of music... famous for being the shooting location for The Sound of Music and the birthplace of W.A. Mozart. This city sits on the border of Germany with views of the Eastern Alps. Also, a great place to grab a beer at the family owned Stiegl Brewery.

INNSBRUCK

Great winter sports destination and hiking during the summer months. Enjoy strolling through Old Town with a collection of cobblestone streets, boutiques, medieval building, and sidewalk cafes. The Ambras Castle is also worth a visit.
